Baby Enzo’s Denari’s brain condition is a mystery to doctors, but family finds hope

Tiny, dark-haired Enzo Denari is not able to eat, crawl or lift his head — but when he managed his first smile at 17 months, his parents were filled with hope.

It was the first sign of promise in a new approach to helping the toddler overcome severe developmental delays.

Raising Enzo has been difficult for Cairns-based parents Fiorella Denari and Lance Robinson.

Tiny, dark-haired Enzo Denari is not able to eat, crawl or lift his head — but when he managed his first smile at 17 months, his parents were filled with hope.

“I’ve never had panic or anxiety before and now I’ve had it all, especially when he was in hospital. I just felt like I was being ripped apart.

“Not knowing what to do and how to help your kid is probably the hardest thing as a parent.”
